Wendy works as a General Practitioner in Cheshire, after five years working as a Children’s Doctor. She loves reading and writing to help her keep a good work-life balance. She is a member of the Society of Medical writers. She hopes her middle-grade fiction books take children to imaginary places, like she remembers escaping to through books as a child. She enjoys spending family time with her husband Simon and their two daughters Molly and Bella.

SUSIE IN SPECTRA
Susie Sky is running away from the school bullies. She makes it to the local tip where she meets Lemo - a yellow glowing boy - from the land of Yelo, who has fallen out of Spectra. Somehow Susie rides the Rainbow Highway with Lemo on his Choo-Ray and finds herself in Spectra.
Spectra is made up of seven very different lands, Redora, Orangutey, Yelo, Greenland, Blau, Indigogo and Violetta. Vileus, an evil monster, has taken control in Violetta by clouding people into his army. He has invaded Indigogo and plans to bring the whole of Spectra under his evil control, replacing all the bright colours with darkness.
Can Susie, Lemo, his brother Mel and his Yelo Army persuade the rest of the lands of Spectra to help them to try to defeat Vileus? Will they stop Vileus plunging the colourful land of Spectra into total darkness?
